VISITING SPANISH LEGISLATORS : Senate President Franklin Drilon accepts a token of appreciation from Spanish Congressman Jose Ramon Beloki during a courtesy call by Spanish lawmakers express their concern over the reimposition of the death penalty in the Philippines. They also said Spain was willing to enter into a bilateral agreement on military assistance with the Philippines. With Beloki were Spain Congressman Luis Mardones, Senator Jaime Blanco, Ramon Companys, Agustin Conde and Deputy Chief Mission Javier Gonzales. Also present was Senator Juan Ponce Enrile.
