HIBLA PAVILION OF TEXTILES AND WEAVES OF THE PHILIPPINES: Senator Loren Legarda launched on Wednesday, October 17, the Hibla Pavilion of Textiles and Weaves of the Philippines, which is a highlight of the Manila FAME Design and Lifestyle Event 2012, at the SMX Convention Center. Legarda, Chair of the Senate Committee on Cultural Communities, was joined by Doña Bea Zobel de Ayala and Rep. Teddy Casiño in opening the exhibition and launching the Hibla website.

Exhibitors at the Hibla Pavilion include members of indigenous communities of the Ivatan, Gaddang, Hanunuo Mangyan, Subanen, Ata Talaingod, B’laan, Iraya Mangyan, Panay Bukidnon, T’boli, and the Ekam Maguindanao.
