9TH LAS PINAS WATERLILY FESTIVAL 2014: Senator Cynthia A. The said annual festivity in Las Pinas showcases the products made from waterlilies, including the fabulous gowns worn by candidates in the said beauty pageant. Villar has been advocating the use of waterlilies, earlier considered “aquatic nuisance, after making an industry out of it. It has been providing livelihood for women who can’t afford to leave their homes.
