SONNY ACCEPTS ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE: Senator Juan Edgado "Sonny" Angara takes the popular ice bucket challenge to donate funds to local rare disease support groups at the roof deck of the Senate building, Thursday, August 28, 2014. Angara, who was nominated for the challenge by Cebu Representative Luigi Quisumbing, nominated Senator Pia Cayetano and Gilas coach Chot Reyes. Aside from taking up the ice bucket challenge Angara has filed Senate Bill 2383, or the Rare Diseases Bill, which aims to provide patients with rare diseases and their families better access to adequate medical care, health information, and healthcare products needed to treat their condition.
