PINK OCTOBER: The celebration of the month of breast cancer awareness with patients at East Avenue Medical Center (EAMC) in Quezon City has been an advocacy of Sen. Cynthia Villar ever since she was Las Piñas Representative. In a visit to EAMC last week, Villar gave away gift packs to about 100 patients. Villar said despite increased awareness on the disease, the effort is still not enough to defeat breast cancer as one of the leading causes of death among women.
