ADDRESSING CHALLENGES, SEIZING OPPORTUNITIES: Senate President Franklin M. Drilon delivers his speech before the attendees of the Philippine Librarians Association Inc. National Congress held at the Century Park Hotel, Manila on Wednesday morning, November 26, 2014. Noting the "waning love for books among the children and youth," Drilon said that librarians must give a "fresh take" on the conventional roles they perform, to adapt to the global changes in the area of information-dissemination. "Our librarians can also assume new roles such as facilitator, end-user trainer/educator, researcher, interface designer, knowledge manager/professional and many more. The possibilities are endless," Drilon said. (PRIB Photo by Joseph Vidal, November 26, 2014)
