PAROL FESTIVAL: Sen. Cynthia A. Villar and former Senate President Manny Villar check on the grand prize winner in the search for Best Parol during Las Piñas City 9th Parol Festival. The top winner Luzviminda Gallardo took home P20,000 cash prize. A total of 19 colorful parol made from recycled materials like plastic, cartons, shampoo and soap covers, straw, cellcards and old CDS and shells of tahong and tulya vied for City' lantern-making contest. The senator said she wants this unique tradition of parol making be passed on to the younger generations.
