PUSONG OFW AWARDS: Senator Cynthia A. Villar was among the recipients of the Pusong OFW Awards given by the Blas F. Ople Policy Center and Training Institute due to her dedication in protecting and promoting the welfare of OFWs, especially those in distress or emergency situations. Susan “Toots” Ople, head of the Center and its Deputy Executive Director Jerome Alcantara hand a plaque of appreciation to the senator. The other awardees are POEA Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac, Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Rafael Seguis, Justice Undersecretary in charge of the IACT Jose Vicente Salazar, DSWD former Social Welfare Attaché to Malaysia Bernard Bonina, Atty. Reynaldo Robles of the Chan Robles and Associates Law Firm and The Embassy of The Kingdom of the Netherlands.
