RICE ACHIEVERS: Senator Cynthia Villar poses with the Agri-Pinoy Rice Achievers after the awarding ceremony at the New Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World, Pasay City. The Senator, chair of the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Food, commends the significant contributions of the awardees to the country’s food sufficiency program especially to the outstanding palay production. She also lauds the Department of Agriculture, particularly their National Rice Program (NRP) for recognizing the top rice achievers and its untiring efforts in implementing projects and programs that support and help our farmers and fisherfolks. The awardees include top rice-producing provinces, cities, municipalities and irrigators associations and small water impounding system associations or SWISAs.
