PNR TEST RUN: Senator Cynthia A. Villar, chairperson of the Senate Committee on Government Corporations and Public Enterprises and PNR General Manager Joseph Allan Dilay led the ‘test run’ on the commuter line from Tutuban Station in Manila to Laguna to ensure there are no more problems. The PNR temporarily stopped its train operation following the derailment of two of its trains at the Magallanes Station last April in which 80 commuters suffered minor injuries. Villar said PNR should guarantee the safety of its passengers and mechanisms are in place for the structural integrity of its tracks, bridges and station facilities.
