HELP FOR STRANDED OFWS: Sen. Cynthia Villar met with five overseas tranded OFWs:Filipino workers who were repatriated from Saudi Arabia after being stranded for two years. The OFWs asked the senator's help for the repatriation of the remaining stranded OFWs, numbering over 200, who lost their jobs and are waiting for their salaries and end-of-service benefits. The workers lost their jobs when construction company Mohammad Al-Mojil Group in Jubail, KSA, shut down due to financial difficulties. Villar urged the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Labor and Employment to attend to the needs of the distressed workers.
