INQUIRY ON EXTRAJUDICIAL, SUMMARY KILLINGS: Senate President Pro Tempore Franklin Drilon quizzes police officials over the official tally of deaths from police operations and unresolved killings during the Senate probe on the spate of extrajudicial killings and summary executions on Monday, August 22, 2016. Responding to Drilon’s queries, PNP Director General Ronald dela Rosa said that around 712 people have been killed in police operations since July 1, 2016, while 1,067 people have died due to unresolved killings in the same time period.
