SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY MEETING: Sen. Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino IV, chair of the Senate Committee on Science and Technology, discusses a measure which proposes to put in place the ecosystem necessary to cultivate business start-ups in the country during an organizational hearing attended by officials of the Department of Science and Technology, Wednesday morning. “The measure will see the creation of an Innovation Council comprised of different government agencies, members of the private sector and representatives of research institutions that can take the lead in directing innovation efforts, supporting start-ups with progressive programs starting from the school level onwards,” Aquino said.
