EVASCO PAYS COURTESY CALL TO SEN. JV EJERCITO: Senator JV Ejercito welcomed HUDCC Chair and Cabinet Secretary Jun Evasco as the latter paid a courtesy call at his office today. This is their first meeting for the housing sector in their capacities as Senate Committee Chairman on Urban Planning, Housing, and Resettlement, and HUDCC Chair respectively. Among the issues and proposed bills discussed they discussed were the creation of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, In-City Housing Bill, and plans to address the 1.5-Million backlog in socialized housing for informal settlers.
