REDUCING PLASTIC WASTES: Sen. Cynthia Villar, chair of the Senate Committee on Environment and Natural Resources discusses with Dir. Theresa Mundita Lim of the Biodiversity Management Bureau the harm plastic wastes bring to marine life and the measures that should be taken to arrest plastic leakage into the seas. During the hearing, Villar raised concern over the findings of a University of Georgia study stating that the Philippines ranked 3rd among 192 countries as the country with the biggest volume of mismanaged plastic wastes produced by the population.
