INVESTIGATING THE MRT-3: Senator Grace Poe, chair of the Senate Committee on Public Services, conducts an inquiry, Monday, May 15, 2017, on the management and maintenance of the Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT-3) which has been plagued with increasing incidents of train malfunctions. The committee also looked into the case of the newly delivered trains procured from Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Corp. of China, which remain unusable as they still have to be fitted with engines ordered from a firm in Germany, and have to be configured by a signalling system from Korea.
