HARVEST FESTIVAL: Senator Cynthia A. Villar, chair of the Senate agriculture and food committee, leads the harvesting of eggplants planted by the 100 drug surrenderees who completed the 12-week training program sponsored by Villar SIPAG. The senator was assisted in the harvesting, which also include squash, beans and cucumber, by Michael Caballes, President, Allied Botanical Corporation, one of the partners of Villar SIPAG in the initiative to help former drug addicts lead a productive life after rehabilitation. The Harvest festival was done during the graduation of the former drug dependents who earlier surrendered to Las Pinas police under the PNP's "Oplan Tokhang."
