PH SENATORS MEET FRENCH COUNTERPARTS: Philippine senators meet with Constitutional Council member Jean-Jacques Hyest (left). Senator Loren Legarda, President and Founding Member of the Philippines-France Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Association, said they had a very interesting discussion on France’s parliamentary system and the role of the Constitutional Council in monitoring parliament so it does not slip into the powers of the executive.
