ZUBIRI PLEDGES FINANCING FOR MSMES: Senator Juan Miguel F. Zubiri, Chairman of the Committee on Trade, Commerce & Entrepreneurship, promised to work for increased government funds in the 2018 National Expenditures Budget for Microfinance. He highlighted the crucial role of micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises in nation-building and eliminating extreme poverty by 2040. He spoke during the ASEAN 2017 MSME Development Summit, yesterday, 14 July 2017 at the Philippine International Convention Center.
