ETHICS CASE VS. CRIMINAL CASE: Senator Ping Lacson on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, attends the 9th Senate hearing into the involvement of Bureau of Customs (BOC) officials and some Chinese nationals in the shipment of P6.4 billion worth of shabu from China last May. During the hearing, Lacson reiterated that he will respond to former Customs Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon’s ethics complaint against him by filing a criminal case against the latter before the Office of the Ombudsman over the corruption in the BOC.
