KAPIHAN WITH SENATOR JV EJERCITO: Senator JV Ejercito, chairman of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, told reporters during the Kapihan sa Senado that the Senate would start the investigation on the anti-dengue vaccine, Dengvaxia, Monday morning, December 11, 2017. The vaccine, used in the Department of Health’s immunization campaign during the Aquino administration, had alleged adverse effects on its patients. “I am puzzled and surprised why the Philippines approved and used the Dengvaxia vaccine despite the fact that up to this day, the European Medicines Agency (EMA), which is the equivalent to our Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) has not yet approved it,” Ejercito said.
