PH-IMF cooperation: Senator Loren Legarda, Chair of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, Finance, and Climate Change, together with Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno and Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose Manuel Romualdez, met with International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Christine Lagarde to discuss the Philippine economy, IMF’s work on “emerging issues”, and areas of cooperation between the IMF and the Philippines. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the recently-concluded 2018 Spring Meetings of the IMF and World Bank Group in Washington D.C.
