Capas, Tarlac: Senator Joel Villanueva, chairperson of the Senate committee on labor, employment, and human resources development, launches Tulong Trabaho at Kabuhayan Project for benefit of the indigenous people of Tarlac on the eve of the country’s observance of Labor Day. Villanueva turned over 500 scholarships from TESDA, P1.5-million worth of livelihood assistance from DOLE, and digital science library, water irrigation pump, and solar power generator from DOST. “We want to emphasize that the program is intended to ensure job and livelihood opportunities for IPs by arming them with the right set of skills needed in the province. We want to stress that job creation and livelihood assistance programs should be top most priority of the government,” Villanueva said.
