World Resources Institute (WRI): At the press conference, “Talanoa Dialogue: What Happened and What It Means for COP24”, organized by the World Resources Institute (WRI), Senator Loren Legarda said that the Philippines pursues a development path consistent with 1.5 degrees Celsius “not only because we know it is the best way to protect our people and climate, but also because we know it will spur economic growth.”

Legarda is in Bonn, Germany as Head of the Philippine Delegation to the 48th Session of the Subsidiary Bodies of the UNFCCC.
