5th Singapore Dialogue : At the 5th Singapore Dialogue on Sustainable World Resources (SDSWR), Senator Loren Legarda and fellow panelists for the session, “How ASEAN Governments are Shifting to Green Growth,” were in agreement that coal is yesterday’s fuel. Legarda said coal will go into its own obsolescence as it becomes more expensive and with renewables becoming cheaper. With Legarda are (from left to right) Daniel Mallo, Societe Generale Head of Natural Resources and Infrastructure for Asia Pacific, Professor Simon Tay, Chairman of the Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA), and Goh Swee Chen, Chairman of Shell Companies in Singapore.
