Sotto Leads Launch of SETSCO Modernized Jeeps: Senate President Vicente Sotto III lauds the Senate Employees Transport Service Cooperative (SETSCO)’s pilot operation of 35 modernized jeepneys under the government’s Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) modernization program “as a part of history,” during the launching activity on Monday, June 18, 2018. Sotto said it was commendable how the Senate, through the SETSCO, had served as a forerunner in the government’s efforts towards modernization of PUVs, and added that the move has set an example to both the public and private sectors. “We are giving the Philippine transportation a new face, a transport system that is innovative, safe and environment-friendly,” he said.
