Sen. Cynthia A. Villar vouches for fish farming: WITH the significant drop in the country’s total fisheries production, Senator Cynthia A. Villar cites the need to boost the aquaculture sector or fish farming. The senator, chair of the Senate agriculture and food committee, drops fingerlings at the Vintahanan Lakefront in Laguna. She was accompanied by officials from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources. The senator’s Villar SIPAG in coordination with BFAR has been conducting training of trainors on freshwater aquaculture.
