Villar at Taga-Alog 2018: Sen. Cynthia A. Villar, chair of the Senate environment committee, cites the need to engage and get many people involved in the environment protection to ensure its long term success and sustainability. She specifically cites their rehabilitation efforts at Las Pinas Zapote River which earned the 2011 United Nations Water for Life Best Water Management Practices. The senator was the Guest Speaker during the Taga-alog 2018, Ilog Pasig: Balik Tanaw, Balik Sigla sponsored by PETA and the National Commission for the Culture and the Arts with Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission.
