Regulation of Single-Use Plastic: Senator Loren Legarda renews her call to ban the use of single-use plastic products as an effective and immediate way to reduce waste. As seen in this photo during a hearing on the proposed budget of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Legarda prohibits the use of bottled water and disposable cups and straw during her committee hearings. Instead, purified water in dispenser and glassware are available for the guests and they are encouraged to bring their own refillable water bottles.
