Education hearing: The Senate Committee on Education, Arts and Culture, headed by Senator Chiz Escudero, has approved on committee level House Bill No. 8730, otherwise known as the act converting the Guimaras State College into a State University, Wednesday, January 23, 2019. The committee also took up proposals for the mandatory provision of left-handed armchairs in public and private schools, posting of nutritional content of food served in school canteens, and the declaration of the Paskuhan Village in Pampanga as a National Treasure and Cultural Heritage site.
