Villar woos voters in Laguna: If she would have the chance to return to the Senate, Senator Cynthia A. Villar vows to continue helping poor Filipino get out of poverty. Villar was among the senatorial candidates endorsed by President Rodrigo Duterte during the PDP-Laban campaign rally at the Alonte Sports Arena in Binan, Laguna. In asking voters to support the re-election bid of Villar, the President stresses that only “stupid” will not vote for her, whom he described as “parang Nanay ng Bayan” and a “mother in the halls of Congress” who was never involved in any corruption. He also acknowledges Villar’s unrelentless efforts and several projects inorder to help our people.
