Villar bats for affordable and sufficient food: In courting the votes of Pateros residents, Senator Cynthia A. Villar says when she was elected senator, she got the Senate committee on agriculture and food where she sits as chairperson because she wanted low cost and sufficient food to all Filipinos. In case she would be elected for a second term, Villar commits to continue her programs to help farmers and fishermen so they can provide enough and cheap food to all. The senator has earned the monicker “Misis Hanepbuhay” due to her advocacy of giving jobs and livelihood opportunities to alleviate the poor living condition. Pateros residents warmly welcomed Villar and the other senatoriables of the administration’s Hugpong ng Pagbabago during their campaign caravan in the city.
