Inbred seeds for lower cost of rice production: Sen. Cynthia A. Villar has been pushing for the use of inbred seeds to have more rice produce at lower production cost. The chair of the Senate agriculture and food committee, says using inbred seeds will increase farmer’s yield by as much as 50 percent. The reelectionist senator was the Guest Speaker during the graduation ceremonies of farmer leaders who completed the free training program on farm mechanization and inbred seed production at the Villar SIPAG Farm School in Bacoor, Cavite.
