Villar vows to give more jobs to Tondo residents: Citing the love of her husband, former Senate President Manny Villar for Tondo, Senator Cynthia Villar promised to provide more jobs to residents of Parola and Isla Puting Bato and other areas in Tondo, when she returns in the Senate. Villar said her husband considers Tondo residents as his ‘real kababayan’ since it was his birthplace. Known as ‘Misis Hanepbuhay,’ the senator says she has been giving jobs and livelihood especially to women so they help augment the family income even without leaving their home. The reelectionist senator was the speaker during the briefing orientation of the “Maunlad na Programang Pangkabuhayan" led by Cong, Manny Lopez held in Don Bosco, Tondo, Manila.
