Villar speaks on achieving win-win approaches in sustainable development: Re-elected Sen. Cynthia A. Villar underscores the need to establish linkages between and among all the sectors of the society—public, business and private to achieve “win-win approaches to sustainable development.” Speaking during the European Innovation, Technology and Science Center (EITSC) forum at Dusit Thani Hotel, Villar says sustainability is the key in environment and in other sectors, particularly agriculture. “And when it comes to sustainability, the environment and agriculture are interlinked,” says Villar. As the chairperson of both the Senate Committees on Agriculture and Food and Environment and Natural Resources, the senator says there is truly a direct link between food security and environment protection.
