Villar hears 2020 NIA budget: Sen. Cynthia Villar in her capacity as chairperson of Committee on Finance "Subcommittee B,"presided over the hearing on the proposed P36.9 billion budget of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) for 2020. During the hearing, Villar asked NIA Administrator Ricardo Visaya how projects implemented in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), like the Malitubog-Maridagao Irrigation Project, will be funded now that BARMM has P70 B budget of its own. Villar proposed for NIA to finish its continuing projects in the area and to let BARMM spend for new irrigation projects.
