Angara keynotes first ever Professional Sports Summit: Chairman of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas(SBP) and author of the National Athlete’s Incentives Law, Senator Sonny Angara, graced the opening day of the first-ever Philippine Professional Sports Summit with a keynote message addressing leaders of sports associations about the way forward in developing our athletes, beginning at the grassroots level.

An event organized by the Games and Amusement Board (GAB), Angara, as former vice chairman of the Senate Committee on Sports, was instrumental in making this summit a reality. The summit served as a venue for national sports associations (NSAs) to discuss issues such as the regulation of sporting events and recognizing outstanding Filipino athletes.
