Expand and Revive the Pasig Ferry: Senator Sonny Angara, chair of the Senate Committee on Finance, expressed willingness to increase the subsidy to the MMDA (Metro Manila Development Authority) for the operation of the Pasig River ferry as long as it can justify the need to augment this item of its budget.

Angara urged the agency to tap the full potential of the Pasig River "as a nautical road" which can ease the terrible traffic congestion in Metro Manila roads.
