Villar invites OFWs to join summit: Sen. Cynthia Villar in a press conference held at Tramway Bayview Buffet in Pasay City, invited overseas Filipino workers who are in the country, as well as their families, to attend the 9th OFW and Family Summit on November 12 at Hall D of the World Trade Center. Villar, director of the Villar Social Institute for Poverty Alleviation and Governance (Villar SIPAG), said the yearly event has become a one-stop shop for OFWs where they learn from experts on matters relevant to them such as financial literacy and government assistance. Villar was joined by fellow OFW supporter Toots Ople of the Blas Ople Training Center.
