Solving ‘embedded’ corruption in PhilHealth: Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon, during Tuesday’s Committee of the Whole hearing, August 11, 2020, recommends that Congress legislate some measures that would address the “embedded” corruption in the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth). Drilon said that through an enabling law, the President may be authorized to reorganize the PhilHealth to provide immediate relief from all these corrupt practices and weed out the corrupt ones. The minority leader also recommended that the computerization of the agency can be outsourced from a prestigious IT company. (Screen grab/Senate PRIB)
