VILLAR CONTINUES PALENGKE TOUR IN NUEVA ECIJA

Mr. Sipag at Tiyaga Senate President Manny Villar continues his tour of public markets nationwide as he finds his way to the palengkes of Nueva Ecija today (March 5) where he was warmly received by the people. Villar also visited various schools and universities along the way.

I would like to thank the people of Nueva Ecija for the warm hospitality that they have extended to me and my group. It is truly inspiring for me to see how hard they work and I wish them success. Having worked in a palengke before also, I am well aware of how back-breaking it can get, says Villar, who used to be a shrimps vendor in Divisoria Market.

Villar went around the public markets of Cabiao, San Isidro, San Nicolas, Gapan, Sta. Rosa, Cabanatuan, Talavera, Guimba among others. He also visited the campuses of AMA Computer College, Midway Maritime School, CLSU and others.

During his stop at Gapan Market, Villar was met eagerly by students while market vendors, mostly old women, danced their hearts away to the tune of Villars campaign jingle.

I am flattered that the people do not only recognize me but are also aware of my campaign advertisement and song. Moreover, they tell me that they can relate to me because I was once a market vendor like them. Its always nice to inspire people, cites Villar.

So far, Villar has visited public markets in Baguio, Pangasinan, Divisoria, Bulacan, Malabon, Navotas, Bataan, and Cavite.
