PulseAsia (June 28 to July 10) survey:
Villar thanks Filipinos for positive approval rating

Senate President Manny Villar today expressed his gratitude to the Filipino people for his positive approval rating in the latest survey of Pulse Asia.

Villar said, "I would like to thank the Filipino masses for the show of support they have consistently bestowed, not only upon me, but also upon the institution of the Senate."

"I give due credit to my colleagues in the Senate who have exemplified teamwork and dedication, not only in forging new laws but also in providing check and balance to government," Villar, who is also president of the Nacionalista Party, added.

Based on the latest Pulse Asia survey conducted from June 28 to July 10, the Senate President received an approval rating of 67 percent, the highest received among the top officials of government.

"Meeting public expectation is a continual commitment which we strive to work hard for by way of strengthening our accomplishments grounded on a vision towards the highest public good," he said.

Under Villar's leadership, the Senate approved a total of 169 legislative measures consisting of 51 measures of national application and 118 measures of local application during the third regular session of the 13th Congress.
