Noynoy on NEDA's refusal to submit
NBN-ZTE documents requested by the Senate

Senator Benigno "Noynoy" S. Aquino III criticized the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) for refusing to submit NBN-ZTE documents sought by the Senate to aid its investigation of the controversial deal.

"If this is a good project, it should withstand scrutiny."

"Executive privilege does not mean that all instances where PGMA is involved should be kept from the public. The non-disclosure of these documents is a violation of the right of the people to information on matters of public concern, as stated in Article III, Section 7 of our Constitution."

"It seems that the proponents of this project are not convinced that the NBN is worth taking. Is concealing all information the only way to defend this project, lest the systemic flaws be made more obvious by their disclosure?"
