Statement of Sen. Nene Pimentel on Defensor's cash aid to Lozada

There is more than meets the eye here.

It cannot be that Mike Defensor gave P50 thousand out of the goodness of his heart to Rodolfo Lozada.

There can only be one reason: to induce Lozada not to spill the beans he had stored on the ZTE deal.

Moreover, is Defensor a billionaire that he could simply pull out P50grand out of his own pocket to help Lozada out of whatever problem that Defensor thought he had?

In other words, even the source of the money is something that needed to be explained.

And Defensor should do the full and truthful explanation otherwise he'd be guilty of obstructing justice to say the least.

This questionable charity of Defensor added to another questionable charity he appeared to have done for SENTOSA, the recruiter of Filipino nurses who eventually sued them in New York makes him a most dangerous giver of charity in the country.
