KIKO CONGRATULATES NEW LAWYERS; CHALLENGES THEM TO COMMIT TO PUBLIC SERVICE

Senate Majority Leader and Independent senator Kiko Pangilinan today congratulated the successful bar examinees and challenged them to be seekers of truth rather than instruments of concealing the truth and to commit their expertise to public service.

"We congratulate the new lawyers but the real essence of passing the bar exams is being able to use their expertise in the service of our people and in seeking, upholding and defending the truth and the constitution in the course of their profession. As officers of the court, they are protectors of the rule of law and defenders of the constitution.

"Passing the bar has always been a source of pride not only for the law student but also to their families and loved ones. And as they embark in their new role in our society, we ask them to devote their careers to serve the ends of justice and the rule of law." Kiko ended.
