Transcript of Senator Mar Roxas' manifestation before adjournment of session

Before the adjournment before the Christmas break, I would just like to put on record, Mr. President, my appreciation and high respect for our distinguished presiding officer, who has shown in such a short period of time, the leadership that we here in the Senate have been craving so much.

Mr. President, we have seen that we start work regularly at 3 p.m. We have seen how bills are processed expeditiously. We have seen how there is lively debate on all of these important matters. Mr. President, I would just wish to put on record how happy I am at the performance of this new leadership.

I also wish to put on record my appreciation for the hard work of the distinguished minority leader, who is regularly here and performs admirably, even if his companions in the minority oftentimes are not here. Nonetheless, Mr. President, the minority leader is here, who's been working very hard. I'd also like to put on record my appreciation for the distinguished majority leader, who has been working very hard all through this time.

Mr. President, for the record, the cameras will show, the members of the new majority all here working very hard until the last minute of the last day of the last session of this period before the adjournment before Christmas. We are all here dealing with matters of national importance. I just wish to put on record my appreciation for all the hard work, as well as the hard work of the secretariat and other members of the Senate.
