On proposal on A (H1N1) flu

Once a safe and effective vaccine on A (H1N1) flu has been developed, the government must fund the immediate immunization of Filipinos at most risk, including those who are in the front line of dealing with it.

These are airport and medical workers. The government can appeal to the corporate social responsibility of pharmaceuticals in helping in this endeavor.

On Solgen trying to stop oil firm's audit

The Office of the Solicitor General must not give the impression that it is representing the giant oil companies and not the government. Without dwelling on the authority and validity of the OSG's arguments, I say that they should have been raised by the lawyers of the oil firms in court and definitely not by the OSG.

The government must prioritize the welfare of the people who are reeling from high oil prices. Lame excuses must not be cited just to allow government to turn its back on its duty to ensure oil companies are not engaged in predatory pricing.
