LOREN-ESCUDERO TANDEM TOP SURVEY FOR 2010 POLLS

A tandem of Senators Loren Legarda for President and Chiz Escudero for vice president topped the preference of voters nationwide in a survey conducted by The Center recently.

The Legarda-Escudero team received 38 percent of the preference votes, while an Escudero-Legarda ticket received 37 votes, in the survey conducted by the Center from May 18 to 25. A total of 1,200 respondents were polled with an error margin of 2.8 percent.

A Mar Roxas-Ping Lacson tandem garnered 33 percent, while a partnership of former President Joseph Estrada-Loren Legarda received 31 percent. Other results were:

Manny Villar-Noli de Castro, 27%; Villar-Jinggoy Estrada, 27%; Dick Gordon-Kiko Pangilinan, 26%; De Castro-Villar, 14%; Gordon-Lacson, 13%; Estrada-Jojo Binay, 12%; Gordon-Bong Revilla, 12%; Gibo Teodoro-Escudero, 9%; De Castro-Teodoro, 9%; Gordon-Bayani-Fernando, 6%; Among Ed Panlilio-Grace Padaca, 3%.

By region, the Legarda-Escudero team received 40% in the National Capital Region, followed by Escucero-Legarda, 20%; Roxas-Lacson, 16%; and Estrada-Legarda, 8%. In Balance Luzon, Legarda-Escudero, 46%; Escudero-Legarda, 32%; Roxas-Lacson, 31; Estrada-Legarda, 32.

In the Visayas, Loren-Chiz, 29%; Chiz-Loren, 32; Roxas-Lacson, 41; Erap-Loren, 26. In Mindanao, Loren-Chiz, 32%; Chiz-Loren, 50; Mar-Ping, 42; and Erap-Loren, 36.

By demographic division - in urban areas, Loren-Chiz, 32%; Chiz-Loren, 20; Mar-Ping, 16; Erap-Loren, 8; rural - Loren-Chiz, 35; Chiz-Loren, 36; Mar-Ping, 29; Erap-Loren, 34. In the ABC class, Chiz-Loren garnered 10%; Loren-Chiz, 8; Roxas-Lacson, 7; and Erap-Loren, 4.

In the D class, a Loren-Chiz team topped with 32%, followed by Chiz-Loren, 28; Mar-Ping,22; and ERap�Loren, 13. In E class, Chiz-Loren got 19%; Loren-Chiz, 15%; Mar-Ping,21; and Estrada-Loren, 31.
