KIKO PANGILINAN WARNS COLLEAGUES ATTENDING SONA: WATCH OUT FOR SHAMELESS CON-ASS SNEAK ATTACK

"There is nothing to stop any congressman from taking the floor this afternoon and moving for the inclusion of Con-Ass as an additional item in the agenda," warns independent Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan of today's scheduled joint session after President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's State of the Nation Address (SONA).

Pangilinan earlier took the floor during the Senate's opening of third regular session to clarify that the joint session should not be used to convene Congress into a constituent assembly.

"I hope I am wrong, but it pays to stay vigilant. If House Resolution 1109 was swiftly tackled and approved in the 'last two minutes' of the previous session of Congress, then another 'surprise attack' can be launched today. We urge our Senate colleagues to be on guard to avoid being unwilling participants in a moro moro.'
