NOYNOY, MAR CUTS SHORT MINDANAO TRIP TO ATTEND
TO RELIEF OPERATIONS

'PISO PARA KAY NOYNOY' TO BE USED FOR TO HELP ONDOY VICTIMS

Senators Noynoy Aquino and Mar Roxas cut short their consultation sorties in Mindanao this weekend to fly back to Manila Sunday morning to assist in relief operations for victims of typhoon Ondoy, which lashed at Metro Manila and neighboring regions and left thousands temporarily homeless. "Funds from the Piso-piso para Kay Noynoy will be used to buy relief goods for the victims of Ondoy," Aquino said yesterday afternoon at the Chapel of Configuration in Malaybalay, Bukidnon, which he and Roxas visited as part of their first sortie in Mindanao.

Aquino and Roxas have converted their headquarters in Expo Centro in Farmers Market in Cubao, Quezon City as relief operations center. They met their supporters in Expo Centro yesterday to mobilize more volunteers and collect more relief goods. "Let us join together and gather what we can to help the hapless victims of typhoon Ondoy," Aquino said.
